Saturday 31st of December

07.47 I missed the night's big event. Christer's mattress had moved sideways. He slipped out of his bed as he in turn moved. Now we are going to finish the stay here in Meknès. A new city and a new year awaits. In the ceiling of our room hangs a qibla mark. There is an arrow pointing out the direction towards Mecca. This is good for the muslims then they should pray.

08.39 All the breakfasts of this year has come to an end. We are about to pack our belongings. Next, our planning list it says that we shall see the older parts of the city. Yesterday, we were just running around somewhere in the newer parts, and in the local area.

09.27 Our minor morning excursion has taken us to the terrace above the square Place El-Hedim and to the restaurant/café Pavillon Des Idrissides. We discovered it through our Lonely Planet guide book. Here, there will be no coffee as we had planned. The coffee machine is broken. We have, instead, ordered orange juice.

09.49 The commerce gather as the sun and also the temperature rises. Vendors arrange their stalls. Horses and dogs cross the square. People with varied styles of clothing stroll around. It is pleasant to study everything from above. The blocks here and the old medina are UNESCO listed as a world heritage site.

10.07 Contemplation may be nice but should we be given the chance to get to see more people, squares and cities, we must put ourselves in motion. We need to be back at Ibis Hotel in time for check-out.

10.26 We left the terrace and the square. On our way back to the hotel, we met some gentlemen who felt as if they stepped directly out of a Tintin album. They were so typically Moroccan in style of dress and behaviour. Now we have come to a stop at a sort of amphitheatre in a park referred to as "Agora" on Google Maps, but it probably has a for us unknown name. At the roundabout next to us the motorists honk as usual. Some young people are discussing something by a stylized tree.

Peter is walking along Rue Dar Smen.

We have reached the older parts of Meknès.

Place El-Hedim, Meknès.

Bab el-Mansour, an impressive gate from 1732.

We can see everything on the square from our café table.

10.45 A little more happened before we came home. We got to learn that a litre of diesel costs 9,16 dirham, around $1, at OiLibya-station. It is by the way the same fuel company that we encountered in the summer in Kenya. At the roundabout near our hotel a motorcycle with a flatbed and loaded with fruit had driven into the front wing of a car. The motorcycle lay on its side, and the fruit lay scattered. Now, we hear signals from the rescue services, whistles and honking cars. For us, it is time to head on.

11.18 It is time for a bench break. We are now further into the park above the amphitheatre. A short distance away stands a few veiled ladies talking. At the roundabout, the only remaining traces of the accident was a larger number of flattened citrus fruits.

11.48 On the TV near us it´s being called to prayer. We have just ordered lunch at Aladino II. It is peaceful in the restaurant. We need a bit in the bodies before we travel to the next town to recharge for the next year. We wonder where Aladino is? Is there also a Aladino III?

12.32 There was a varied lunch that covered all parts of the food circle. Unfortunately it was a bit excess on root vegetables and vegetables. Meat had a minimal presence. We shall, as soon as we left some of our dirham, continue to walk towards the train station.

13.07 During the payment process, we got three caramels. When we arrived at the station Gare Al Amir Abdul Kader we went straight to the ticket machine. It wanted, after receiving; amount of passengers, class and destination, to be paid. The first banknote was not accepted, was it of the older kind? Everything was reset and we had to type in the data again. A more modern banknote did the trick. Now we have a ticket for two persons but only one seat reserved, oddly enough. The train is half an hour delayed, or as it says on the display, retarde.

13.51 With a sigh, the train rolled in. Our compartment had drawn red curtains. Inside a man sat there and slept. He woke up, got up and left when we sat down. Another man replaced him. Our new companion wanted to know where we were from. When he got to know our origin, he thought that it is probably cold in Sweden right now.

Interesting discussions on Place El-Hedim.

Two clothing styles meet on the square.

Some horses arrived on the square.

Meknès lightblue taxicars gather and wait for customers.

Christer has finished his juice at Pavillon Des Idrissides.

Walking back to our hotel in a newer part of the city.

14.22 The area around the moving train is flat. We are approaching the city that can be spelled both Fez and Fès, depending on which language you are using. Meknès and Fès are two equally large cities with about one million inhabitants in each city. They both belong to Morocco's four royal cities.

15.01 From the fresh beautiful rail station it was a very short walk to Hotel Ibis in Fez. At check-in, they wanted us to pay at once. Our new home has the room number 322. Christer is now checking the Moroccan train site. No trains seem to depart from here on the second of January. It is not so good, since it is the day we intend to depart.

15.50 We have not received any clarity regarding the trains. It is probably something wrong with the page because no trains at all depart in 2017. There is ongoing renovation in the corridor outside. There is also a small puddle on the bathroom floor. Christer's mobile phone also refuse to be charged. This is absolutely brilliant.

16.50 We have dried up the water in the bathroom. Christer's mobile is being charged if it is switched off. They are still working in the hallway. We will soon be leaving the room to gear up for the annual event in seven hours.

18.06 We went to the railway station and to a ticket vending machine. It had nothing against letting us buy the tickets for the day after tomorrow. Thus, there is a train after all. After that we left for a shopping mall. We are now along with a whole lot more at the Borj Fez (http://www.borjfez.com). There are almost too many here. There was a queue to get into the mall. According to some information the mall, among other things, could house a Starbucks Coffee. In the crowd outside, we also saw a happy Santa Claus.

A nice rest in the park.

Lunch at Aladino II.

We are waiting for a late train.

Peter during the short train trip to Fez.

Window view from Ibis Hotel in Fez.

18.23 We didn't find any Starbucks in this incredible hubbub. We have, however, found the eye of the storm, the oasis of the mall. A place where it is not full. We have ordered coffee and pastries at Costa Coffee, another chain for coffee, etc, which we visited in the past. The truth is that it is almost the same thing as Starbucks.

19.41 The coffee session ended and we continued to explore the mall. After a while we met another old acquaintance, the supermarket chain Carrefour. They had a separate section for alcoholic beverages. I went in there to make the purchase. The people there acted out of control, confused like speeding ants. I got a hold of what I was looking for and got back safe and sound. On the way back we bought juice and we withdrew money.

20.41 The TV in our hotel room have been shown the new year celebrations from Dubai. It was a spectacular fireworks display. We smell smoke in our room. Soon we will go down for a new year's eve dinner.

20.57 There is a little mystery in our bathroom. A new puddle appeared in the same place as the last one. The puddle is around 20 centimetres long and 7-8 centimetres wide. Around if it is dry. It is a short distance from the toilet, the drain trap/water seal of the wash basin and the shower. I wiped the spot once again.

21.48 The New Year gala dinner is ordered. While waiting for the meal, I´m enjoying, just as last year, a gin and tonic. The Ibis Hotel has nice restaurants but unfortunately, a rather monotonous menu. We recognize all of the dishes from the dinner in Meknès.

22.32 We had beef entrecote with pepper sauce and a good cup of coffee as the crowning. Now, we are counting down the last 88 minutes of this year.

Ibis Hotel, Fez.

A happy santa appeared in the dark.

Borj Fez was a popular spot this New Year´s Eve.

Christer at Costa Coffee.

The New Year dinner was in the hotel restaurant.

23.10 Home in Sweden, it is already 2017. We are an hour behind here in Morocco. Christer and I have not been on Swedish soil at new year since 2007. The bathroom puddle is back. However, it seems as if it is coming from a leaky water seal. It is leaking, the water runs to the puddle and the tracks dries up. That is why we have not got the hang of how everything has gone.

23.49 It is time to seriously begin to prepare us for the new year. We will, unlike last year, stay in the room. The reason for this is that nothing of value happens out on the town. It is peaceful and quiet, no trends for the new year celebration. The same thing happened when we were in Oman 2012.

Sunday 1st of January

00.01 We remain at the Hotel Ibis in Fez. Asgwas amegas/aseggas ighudan, aam saiid/sana saiida or bonne anné! This is Happy new year in Berber, Arabic and French. The year has been saluted with Guerrouane Blanc, Moroccan white wine. In 2016 we went to 9 countries outside of Sweden. It is as predicted a year ago, better than in 2015. I expect that it is also better than what 2017 will offer.

00.32 The wine wasn't tasty at all, but in any case we drank Moroccan wine. I never had wine from Morocco before. Now it is soon time to go to sleep for the first time in 2017.

08.36 The new year dawns, a year of more adventure. In Istanbul has a man dressed as Santa Claus shot and killed 39 people in a night club. Here it is considerably quieter.

09.44 We began the day with breakfast. A varied selection with everything from bread, through to yoghurt and even dates were offered. Now we are sitting in a red grey sofa, listening to relaxing music with a touch of China and speculate about the day. Why then here and not in our rooms? Well, we hope that they will clean the room before we return.

10.10 I don't know if it was because of the cool air, the soothing music, or pure boredom. We just went back to the room. Here, it is not tidy and orderly.

10.55 We left the room and have strolled on, for us, new paths. We have been walking in the new part of Fez, been offered guides and asked to give a begging woman money. Moreover, we have seen the restaurant Aladino with the same pictures and decoration as Aladino II where we had lunch in Meknès yesterday. Might it be some kind of restaurant chain?

Mosquée Tajmoti with its minaret.

The day of long walks.

We passed Borj Fez, the shopping mall we visited last night.

An animal on the run.

We´ll go through this gate and visit the older parts of Fez.

We are resting and drinking tea at Café Jnan Sbil.

11.08 We left the new French-built town. Morocco is more worth seeing when visiting the old town and here in Fez is of course the world famous old medina. Fez (Fès) is the oldest of Morocco's four royal cities (the others are Marrakech, Meknes and Rabat), and was founded around the year 789 by Idris I, a descendant in the fourth generation of the caliph Ali. The city had its prosperity in the 1100's, when it had about 400 000 inhabitants and was the Muslims' second holiest city after Mecca. As the Moroccan capital, the city was in the middle ages one of the most important in the Muslim world, is known for its schools and buildings. The university in Fes taught, inter alia, in astronomy and philosophy, and many found their way here, also from Southern Europe. (Source: Wikipedia)

11.24 Wherever are we right now? We have walked along the long boulevards and just passed a portal that brought to mind the stay in Muscat, Oman in 2013. Then we passed through a similar portal. We walk, walk, walk but it is apparently a long way to go to the medina.

11.39 The walk progressed. Pretty soon we met a mule, donkey or horse. It waited to cross the road. Was it on the run? Now we are approaching the goal.

11.45 Café Jnan Sbil offered something we could not say no to. They have chairs and tables. We have ordered the in Morocco popular drink mint tea. It is nice to sit down and just rest. The hike here has gone along the beautiful boulevards and past the stately buildings. Nearby are the royal palace and the old Jewish quarter, the mellah.

12.03 Mint tea was good and the rest is welcome. Now we sit here with the mint flavour in the mouths. It is a flavour that reminds on chewing gum, mouth rinse and other dental. Soon we will continue our escapades.

12.22 After we paid 10 dirham each for the tea, we stopped in the park Jnane Sbile. We rest before we get into the medina hustle and bustle later. Christer is guessing that we get four guide offerings when we get there. For my part, I think, five. It is, as usually in a park, beautiful and peaceful here.

12.38 We left the park and went into the medina through the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud). It is an incredibly large maze of small streets, which you don't want to get lost among. We are now at Café Clock, our goal here inside the medina. Here we're going to eat the camel burger for lunch. We are now in Fes el-Bali, the world's best-preserved medieval town and also the largest car-free urban area in the world. It is 156 000 people living here and there are reportedly 9500 different streets. We have yet to see 9498. The streets we've seen are narrow and crowded. The medina is on UNESCO's world heritage list.

Parc Jnane Sbile, a wonderful oasis.

On the other side of the park we found a lake.

Bab Boujloud, the blue gate, is the entrance to the old medina.

Café Clock, our choice for today´s lunch.

A very moroccan table at Café Clock.

Inside the medina.

13.27 The camel burger and everything that was with it was really good. We listened to music by David Bowie during the meal. Café Clock (http://fez.cafeclock.com) is recommended, professional service and wonderful food in a unique environment.

14.12 On the way out of the medina we saw a man with a cow's head in a bucket. Now we are walking back towards the home site. We are trying to find a smoother path. We have just seen a man who led a mule, donkey, horse. It might have been the runaway that finally got caught?

14.40 We found a smoother road home. Now we take a java stop opposite the hotel. We are at the Café Glacier Alais.

15.04 The room was cleaned as we got back. The window was open and there were no towels. Are they not done? (the cleaning gang). We are now out in the shade by the pool . Here we shall read and try to remember a similar pool area. This feels somehow familiar. We remember that we chased the sun there.

15.25 We gave up, we can't remember the second area, and at this it was a bit too cool for enjoyable reading. Back in the room we found to our delight new towels. Now is the time to read more.

17.00 It is nice to sometimes just do a minor thing. We believe that we are deserving to gather us up, unwind.

18.11 Enough with the quiet times. We got things to take care of.

Place Boujloud, Fez.

It´s wonderful to find flowers and green grass in the middle of the winter.

Boulevard des Alaouites.

Our hotel is reflected behind Christer.

Peter has finished his coffee at Café Glacier Alais.

18.31 We are back at the train station, Gare de Fès. Here we have started to try and find stuff to bring with us on the long train ride tomorrow. It seems sparse with the bread here.

18.48 Success! After a bit of aimlessly walking on the city streets, we found a small market area. Here we have bought four hearty bread.

19.05 Back home again Christer has cleansed his small backpack. It had been hit by bird droppings.

20.11 On CNN Barack Obama is being interviewed about his time as president, and also about the different racial issues. Imagine if three weeks the president of the United States will be Donald Trump.

20.36 We are a little tedious and taking aim at yet another hotel dinner here at the Ibis Hotel. The surrounding area offers not on any sufficiently enticing restaurant.

22.24 It was not bad with dinner this year either. Now we will pack, plan and sleep. It will be an early departure tomorrow.

23.10 Most of our belongings are now in the backpacks. In addition, I have treated myself an evening beer.

A lovely pool but unfortunately with icecold water.

The last Ibis dinner of this trip.

Monday 2nd of January

06.30 It is an early morning today. It is fortunate that we are close to the railway station. Otherwise we had to get up even earlier.

07.00 It is time to take the elevator down to the present day, the petit déjeuner, breakfast.

07.36 Pan flute music and ice cold air surround us in the breakfast dining room this early hour. There was also to our delight, breakfast. In about an hour, we once again sit on a train. Today we´ll travel further south in Morocco. We must, due to the limited rail network in the country, go back the same way we came from before we can reach today's final destination.

08.19 We have been walking the short distance to the station, waited a moment on the platform and finally stepped on board the train. The carts devoid of number. We hope that we boarded the right one. Until now, everything has just gone like it was supposed to and we are completely alone in the compartment.

08.50 The train is moving on. The area closest to the rails is somehow flattened. Further away, just before the horizon , is a rising. No full-size mountains, but in any case, something that stands out. A ticking, tapping sound can be heard in the corridor.

08.54 It was the guy with the refreshments cart that lay behind tapping or was it a ticking. It was, however, no purchases. We are approaching the first station stop. Ain Taoujdate next.

09.17 We're back at the train station in Meknès. The bread we bought yesterday evening smells good. It is in a transparent plastic bag in my small backpack.

A cold sunny morning at the railway station in Fez (Fès).

It´s time to enter the train.

09.38 He who makes a hole in the tickets came around and punched our tickets. He also announced that we sat in the wrong compartment. We have now switched from the compartment to the salon. We are not sitting at our designated locations. There are namely some other where. Until further notice, we have taken some other available seats.

10.10 On a long the train ride, it is good to have with good literature. Christer is reading Inferno by Dan Brown. For me it is Rather be the devil by Ian Rankin. A gentleman in the salon has a book in Swedish, "Performance analysis of the school". I see more joy in our literature.

10.47 The tapping guy with the coffee cart almost passed me. I stopped him and bought a mug, of hot, black coffee. Our journey continues through a lush landscape, a fairly flat landscape.

11.42 We are currently going nowhere. Though it might, of course, some that travel in their thoughts and minds. We are in any case back at the railway station Rabat Ville.

11.59 Finally we are on our booked seats. The most important thing for me is to get to sit down and to get to Marrakech. We have done half the journey.

13.24 After having been in Casablanca and turned we now head south. The sun shines and we hear a lady speak some Chinese language. We are approaching the station in Casablanca. In Arabic, you write برشيد, and the Berbers write ⴱⴰⵔⵛⵉⴷ). The coffee guy is here, time to stop writing.

14.25 A fairly easy hilly, steppe like landscape, with reddish-brown soil and green grass spreads out. We are on the road to drier climes and the station Macchra Ben Abbou.

14.34 Our train stands still. The reason for the stop has been declared through the speakers. They spoke Arabic, and French. All I knew was that we were asked to sit still. It's getting hot in the salon.

14.47 A train appeared from the Marrakech-direction and the pretty soon we were on the road again.

15.55 The landscape is getting rounder forms. Hills look up from the flat, striving against the sky.

We are traveling south in a train which becomes warmer and warmer.

A book about Swedish schools on the train.

We have arrived in Marrakech.

Far away you can see the Atlas mountains.

Christer is waiting to check in at Tempoo Hotel.

16.02 For a few minutes, the speakers delivered a very loud and annoying buzzing. Most of the passengers covered their ears. Off in the distance we can hint at the next stop, the next city.

16.20 It is a beautiful train station here in Marrakech. We do not intend to stay here. We have a hotel that is waiting for us.

16.34 After we left the passports and the packing in the reception area, we were asked to sit down in the white leather armchairs in the lobby at the Tempoo Hotel http://tempoo-hotel.hotelsmarrakech.net/sv/). We were offered coffee or Moroccan tea. We didn't want to spoil our appetites, and kindly said no to the offer.

16.42 We got help to carry the luggage and was guided to room 3009. Unfortunately it is a double bed here. We had booked a twin room. This must be taken care of!

16.55 Christer went down to the front desk. Now everything is set right. We now stay in room 3010 instead. It is the highest room number we've ever had.

17.20 Here, things happen. I managed to kick to Christer's water bottle. It sailed away and emptied out its content. Now we will leave the room before more stupid happens.

17.32 We had hardly sat down here at News Café (https://newscafemarrakech.com) opposite our hotel as they started to play "Happy birthday to you". First it was in French and then in English. It all started when a girl with her friend came here. Other friends joined with hugs. The music, high volume, continues. All connected to the theme of the birthday.

18.09 In my burger it was a long toothpick or a very slim chop stick. On it was a tomato, a piece of cucumber and a black olive. We shall, as we have finished the meals, walk towards the new goal, a new mall.

18.52 It is tradition on our trips for over ten years to visit Starbucks Coffee. This year and Morocco is no exception. This is actually the 27th country in the world and the premiere of the Africa. We have navigated to the district of Gueliz in order to be a part of this.

A view from Tempoo Hotel.

We are visiting News Café but don´t know if we ordered late lunch or early dinner.

There are many coffeedrinkers at Starbucks.

We made a short visit in the mall Carré Eden.

Beautiful decorations along Avenue Mohammed VI.

19.22 In the mall Carré Eden next to Starbucks it looks like it does in all of the malls in the world. It feels a little strange with snowflakes, Santa and baubles in the north of Africa, and partly because of the lack of Christianity and partly because of the lack of snow. Now we are going to slowly go home through the city.

20.12 On the way home we found out were the buses depart from and bought some to eat and drink tonight. The purchased were packed down in green bags. The late lunch and the visit at Starbucks has enabled us to completely skip dinner tonight. When we got back to the hotel I was asked if I had food in the green bag. May one not bring your own food?

21.04 I relax and enjoy my station purchased Maltesers. Now we'll examine the channel offered on the TV.

23.16 The zapping did not give much. To just lie and relax and wave the toes did not bring that much either. But to tell the truth, it was nice. I reckon that the Sandman is about to enter.

Tuesday 3rd of January

08.36 During the last evening and this night, it has been a huge fire in our old university city, Umeå. The night here has been calm.

09.40 Today's breakfast, in Arabic futur, was a disappointment. On the plus side, one of the staff made omelettes, but the supply was slim, poor. Not much bread was offered. Instead we got to choose from a variety of a variety of cookies. The coffee was weak. The juice might have been fetched, asked for at a counter. Now, we make ourselves ready to go out. We were, on the way into the room, asked by a maid if she could clean up. What do you answer? Yes, and she enters the room with us. No, and it doesn't get cleaned.

10.19 We have been at the bus company Supr@tours office and bought bus tickets for the journey from here. Rail travel is over. The rails do not go further than this. The idea was that we would buy tickets for both of the next trips. We just got to purchase to the next, the one that departs from here.

10.46 We stroll along the Mohammed VI avenue. We are currently not strolling. We sit to take out the bearing and get knowledge regarding distance. Behind us, the nightclub is the Burj el Arab, and on the other side of the avenue, we have Menara Mall. A horse carriage just passed.

10.56 A camel disappears away to the left. Someone is riding it. In the distance we can see the towering Atlas mountains. Once again, we behold something that we have only seen on maps in the past. We permit ourselves a bench break in the sun. We had barely sat down as a taxi stopped. The driver shouted, taxi, taxi. We said no thanks. His reply sounded like manolo.

The beautiful railway station Gare de Marrakech.

There are bikes to borrow but we decide to walk.

Avenue Mohammed VI, the start of a very long walk this morning.

One way for tourists to get around.

Christer is resting in the sun.

A lazy camel and the hazy Atlas mountains.

11.21 More hump animals are in sight. These are laying down. We think that the idea is that they shall be ridden. We will in any case walk further. The goal of our walk is the old town part is the Kasbah where there should be a Café Clock, the partner restaurant to the one we had lunch at in Fez.

11.43 Before we went into the kasbah, I ate an orange that I filched, picked without asking. It was not as bitter as the ones I picked during the last new year trip in Spain. Once inside the kasbah we went to Café Clock for lunch.

11.58 Here at Cafe Clock, we are one floor up with a view of everyday life in the streets below. A picky British family sit by another table and try to combine a full English breakfast by ordering various different things.

12.45 The burger was not as tasty today but still an ok lunch. Now we are having a bench break outside the wall surrounding the older parts. Now we are going to plan what more we are going to study.

12.51 A man who was pushing a scooter appeared as we sat in the sun's pale glow. He stopped and said, Hi again, do you not recognize me? We answer no. He informs that he is from the hotel inside the kasbah. We who have never seen him before, continues to deny. The man departs. Do we look like some other guys, are we getting senile or is it just a classic silly trick?

The photographer in a metal ball.

Peter is handing out a stolen orange.

We went through Bab Ighli into the old Kasbah.

We are ready for an early lunch at Café Clock.

Peter is leaving Café Clock.

We are approaching central Marrakech.

13.19 In order to avoid more scooter gentlemen and to see more of Marrakech we got up and left. It soon became return to the chaos. There were a few confused minutes before we were able to locate and move in the right direction. Now we are having a mint tea stop at the restaurant Mabrouka. It is located at the street Prince Moulay Rachid. Here the vendors and tourists pass by in a never-ending stream.

13.41 The tea was tasty and not at all as intense mint flavour that at the last tea stop in Fez the other day. When we have finished this it's off to the famous square here in Marrakech, the Djema el Fnaa. It is located just a short distance away from where we sit now.

14.19 Many different things are on offer on the main square, the Djema el Fnaa. Here you can buy juices, eat light meals, and a little more. There are also lots of costumed people who want to be photographed and get paid for it. Here are also people who have with snakes, birds and monkeys.

14.35 In souk El Kessabine it was crowded and a lot was offered. We once again got to see a person with a Kånken backpack, made in my home area. Back in the square we saw the cobras. A man with a purgi, a snake charmer flute wanted to be paid as Christer took a picture of the square. He said that Christer has taken a photo of the snake. Neither the cobra or the man got paid. We were also able to see monkeys and a bird of prey. We bought some delicious juice from Youssef. We thought it was a suitable name. Now we turn homeward again.

14.49 The time has come for a bench break again. We think we´ve done just enough for today as well.

Once again we have ordered mint tea.

Peter is drinking tea at the restaurant Mabrouka.

Djemaa el Fnaa, Marrakech.

The snake people want photo money.

Fruit stands sell juice to thirsty people.

We went for a short walk in the medina.

15.21 We found new streets to walk on and took us home through quiet neighbourhoods along Avenue Moulay El Hassan.

15.31 Ah how, it is nice to come home to a cleaned room.

16.41 At this time four years ago we were in Muscat, Oman and had been at Starbucks, where else, and currently waved for a taxi.

18.14 Now when we started to recite a Swedish song, and started longing for candy canes, it is time to return to Marrakech.

18.40 A short walk from the hotel took us to Tay's Coffee. Here it will be coffee with something to it, croissant, or ice cream.

19.44 It was tasty snacks, chocolate ice cream with a sprig of mint and a croissant with strawberry jam and butter. We walked around in the neighbourhood after payment. We wanted to think, stroll and plan. It did not give us much more. We will check on the app Trip Advisor for more dinner suggestions.

21.00 It is the lazy part of ourselves that will make the decision. We will have a hotel dinner here at Tempoo Hotel.

22.14 We have now completed our first and last dinner in Marrakech. Soon we will finish the day. First we'll watch BBC News.

23.20 Watching TV has not given so much more. Though it need not happen things all the time. We have discussed which previous hosts and hostesses from our trips that it would be fun to invite to a party. When such strange thoughts go through the heads it is probably time to go to sleep. Tomorrow we´ll head to the sea.

Koutoubia mosque with its high minaret.

Tempoo Hotel, Marrakech.

Christer is visiting Tay´s Coffee.

We will have a simple dinner in our own hotel this evening.
