During a flight with Ryanair from Girona in Spain we noticed an ad in a magazine telling about cheap flights to Georgia and Azerbaijan with the Latvian airline Air Baltic. This caught our interest and we had to use this opportunity. In October 2006 we booked our plane tickets from Nyköping to Riga and from Riga to Baku. According to Swedish tradition we received comments about how dangerous this trip would be. No one could explain why it was dangerous and what would happen but countries with names that is hard to spell are always dangerous or...?
